On February 2nd, the United States watches to see if a groundhog has seen his shadow. In France, very fittingly, they bake crepes. I'm not saying I'm playing favorites with traditions but...
Crepe batter, butter and Banania (banana nutella which is my new favorite thing. My host mother finds my obsession with it amusing.)
My host mother working her magic. Crepe making is a universal French talent it seems. That and she is a very good cook.
One with sugar, one with homemade plum jam and one with Banania.
Dave just went "oooooohhhh!!!" when I told him about that - I may have to have your mother bring him home a jar!

A student who is spending a lot of time overseas in the coming year and decided that she might as well write about it. She has a bright yellow raincoat.
Just a note, italicized words can be found in the glossary. Just in case they're confusing. I thought I might as well throw some Dutch and French words.
If anyone reading this blog has questions about SYA, or is interested in the program and would like to know more about life in Rennes, feel free to post a comment. I read all of them and will happily respond.
