I just thought that I needed to record the fact that for the first time since we arrived in Bretagne three weeks ago, it rained yesterday. It was a short little sun shower, maybe five minutes, but enough that Loulou stalked inside grumbling to groom himself and get the water off. Everyone here, especially the locals, cannot understand how the weather has been so beautiful. I'm hoping it holds until after we have crossed the bay of Mont St. Michel this weekend. I got the date wrong in the other post.
Also, two other firsts, yesterday was the first time I could understand more than 50% of my literature class and was able to participate intelligently in the class discussion. And I bought stamps from an actual person at the post office and managed to figure out how to attach them once I got home. You have to lick these.
Everyday goes like this, small little accomplishments that make you feel really proud of yourself for not spectacularly messing up your French.
