Next to a statue of Jheronimus Bosch, also known as Hieronymus Bosch, a Dutch painted from the High Reniassance/ Mannerism era. He painted religious scenes that were often criticized for being too imaginative or radical. (Google his work, you'll see.) He was born in Den Bosch and lived here his whole life, hence why so many things, like the local hospital are named after him. In 2016 they'll mark the 500th anniversary of his death with plays and exhibitions of his work, even though a lot of it is currently outside of the country in various musuems worldwide.
